What is paintball?
Paintball is a sport game, in which players, armed with air operated weapons and as ammo using balls filled with paint, try to shoot enemy. If player is hit with ball, he is considered “shot down” and has to leave the field till the next game. One game is about 10 minutes long.
Is paintball dangerous?
Paintball is one of the safest extreme sports; even golf is considered more dangerous. As in other extreme sports, in paintball players have to use special equipment to protect themselves from injuries. Paint ball can reach speed 100m/s, but considering its formation (easy washed off paint in gel shell) and insignificant weight, ball cannot do serious injury to your body.
What is the minimum age to play paintball?
The minimum age to play paintball is 10 years. The most important is to follow all safety rules – to wear the mask and other protection.
Who plays paintball?
Paintball is one of the most popular sports in the world. In America alone every year around 10 millions play paintball.
In the world paintball was played since 1981, in Latvia – since 1997.

Paintball has many different playing scenarios. Here we will introduce most popular of them:
1. Team vs. team
Players are divided in two teams. Teams start from the opposite sides of the field. Team, which completely destroyed other team, wins
2. Top Gun
Each player is on his own. The one who remains, wins.
3. Capture the flag
Players are divided in two teams. Each team has the base with the flag on their side of field. Each team mission is to capture enemy’s flag and to bring it to own base. If flag-bearer is shot, he has to leave the flag on the ground and to leave the field.
Two teams start from the opposite sides of the field. There is the flag in the centre of the field. Team, which brought the flag to the enemy’s base, wins.
